Voting & Elections

Register to vote at https://olvr.vermont.gov or stop by the Town Clerk’s Office. There is same day voter registration as well.

The Town of Chelsea Town Meeting is a hybrid meeting of Australian Ballot voting for Public Questions and Elected Offices ( polls are open from 9 am to 7 pm) and an in-person Town Meeting begins at 10 AM to vote a budget. Town Meeting is held the first Tuesday in March. Please contact the Town Clerk for forms if you wish to run for an elected office.

First Branch Unified School District Meeting is an in- person vote.

State and Federal Elections – Polls open at 9 AM until 7 PM. Absentee ballots may be requested in person, by phone at 802-685-4460, by email at town.clerk@chelseavt.us or by going to https://olvr.vermont.gov.

The Presidential Primary is the only Primary where Federal Law requires the voter to state a party preference when voting in that election. Absentee Ballots are available upon request.
