Selectboard Meetings are held at 6:30 pm in the Chelsea Town Hall on the first and third Tuesday of the month, unless otherwise warned. Liaisons

Roles and Responsibilities

Liaison Role – The general concept of s liaison role is to have Board Member(s) that are available to Town staff, committee members and citizens if an issue arises outside of a normal meeting cycle that needs to be discussed and /or addressed. However, the role of the liaison is not intended to represent the board on business that must come before the board in a warned meeting.

Purpose

  • In the event of an emergency/pressing situation, there is a Board Member that is the primary point of contact. (ex. equipment breakdown)
  • For issues that require follow up or information in preparation of an item that requires action by the Board
  • A scheduling issue that needs immediate attention (ex. inclement weather impact on transfer station)
  • Point of contact for staffing issues or concerns
  • Point of Contact for outside entities (Ex. Agency of Natural Resources,)
  • Grant opportunities
  • Public point of contact – the liaison is not intended to represent the board on business that must come before the board in a warned meeting. To add a concern to the agenda please contact town.administrator@chelseavt.us
